This document is intended to be posted on the Music Coast website and referenced from the Music Coast mobile apps and web app. It summarizes key disclosures and disclaimers for the Service.
1. Our goal
Music Coast is an indie-first music platform and community. These Community Guidelines apply to all users of the Service (website, apps, and web app).
2. Prohibited content and behavior
You may not use Music Coast to post, upload, or share content that is illegal, harmful, or abusive. This includes (not exhaustive):
- hate speech, threats, harassment, or bullying;
- sexual exploitation or content involving minors;
- violent extremist content;
- doxxing (sharing someone’s private personal information) or stalking;
- content that infringes intellectual property rights (copyright/trademark) or other rights;
- spam, scams, malware, or attempts to compromise accounts or systems;
- artificially manipulating plays, metrics, or monetization.
3. Creator-specific rules (uploads)
If you upload music, artwork, or other files, you must also follow the Creator Upload and Rights Policy. In particular:
- Upload only content you have rights to share on Music Coast.
- Do not upload unlicensed covers, remixes, mashups, or samples unless you have all required permissions.
- Do not attempt to manipulate plays or monetization metrics.
4. Reporting and blocking
If you see content or behavior that violates these Guidelines, you can report it through the Service (where reporting tools are provided) or by contacting Music Coast Support.
- We may remove content, issue warnings, limit features, or suspend/terminate accounts based on violations.
- We may take immediate action for severe violations or credible safety risks.
- You may be able to block other users where that feature is available.
5. Appeals
If you believe we removed content or restricted your account in error, you may contact Music Coast Support to request review. We do not guarantee that every decision will be reversed, but we will consider good-faith requests.
6. Changes
We may update these Community Guidelines as the Service evolves.
